Fire Communication Officers : UPDATE: IMPLEMENTATION OF FIRECOM ROSTER PRINCIPLES AND CA19 PART-TIME EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS

Further to the Fire Communications Update published on 6 November 2020, regarding the implementation of Firecom roster principles and the commencement of the CA19 part-time employment conditions, I am pleased to report the following update to members –

In this Edition - I am pleased to report to all members that with the return of the Palaszczuk state government for the next 4 years, state parliament is to resume in late November.

Fire Communication Officers : IMPLEMENTATION OF FIRECOM ROSTER PRINCIPLES AND CA19 PART-TIME EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS - 6 November 2020

As you would know, the UFUQ has been working with QFES for quite some time on the CA19 clause 103 commitment to implementing roster principles within Firecom. You will also recall that the UFUQ and QFES agreed to commence the CA19 part-time employment conditions at the same time as the roster principles are implemented.

In this edition - Late last month, I reported to you that the QIRC had issued a decision to modify your award, based on the joint application made by your union and Fire and Rescue.
