In this edition - In the early hours of Monday 2 May 2023, two of your colleagues working together in a BA Team were injured (one of them critically) at a structure fire in the South East Region (Slacks Creek). QFES is keeping your union updated as things progress.

In this edition - I am pleased to inform all members covered by CA22 that the dates and times for the second tour of Branches and work locations has been finalised. You will be hearing firsthand from those who were involved in negotiating and drafting the agreement.

In this edition - As discussed in the most recent CA22 UPDATE, QFES and your union are waiting on the sign-off of the in principle deal on your new certified agreement. That sign-off is likely going to arrive by mid-February.

In this edition - Today the UFUQ state office held its first meetings with representatives from the Queensland state government, Workcover Queensland and other public sector unions, where discussions about the just announced review of Queensland’s workers’ compensation laws were held.
