CODE 2, VOL 32, NO 7 : 15 march 2018

Certified Agreement implementation – UPDATE

As you are aware, some parts of the current CA16 are yet to be implemented as the relevant content is yet to be agreed between your union and fire and rescue. That work is ongoing.
Here is a brief update on the outstanding clauses –

Firefighters and Station Officers:

• 23 Health and well-being
Yet to commence discussions.

• 54 BA HAZMAT allowance
Fire and Rescue and QSS have informed your union that the allowance will be paid to those who are eligible during the 'implementation model’ phase (12 months) from 24 March 2018 and the backpay will occur on 05 May 2018.
The ‘operating model’ phase is yet to be negotiated.

• 56 & 85 Paid travel time (NOTE: for both FF and FCO)
This is currently being negotiated and I expect this to be completed in March 2018.

• 57 Temporary relocation policy
Yet to commence discussions.

Fire Communication Officers:

• 72 (g) Annual leave methodology
Yet to commence discussions.

• 83 Review of part-time hours
Your union is developing a small working group for part-time FCO's to discuss this issue and has commenced initial discussions with Fire and Rescue.

• 84 Rostering arrangements
Yet to commence negotiations.

I will update you again in the near future on the progress of these outstanding items.
