CODE 2, VOL 33, NO 7 : 08 april 2019
Upcoming direct debit date change – fortnightly paying members only
You will have recently received notification from QFES via email that your pay cycle is being changed due to a new payroll system.
Your union was recently informed the decision had been made. There is no capacity to change this decision and it was made prior to any notification to your union.
I encourage you to check the email you received from QFES informing you of all of the details, but below is the basics of the change and how they affect your UFUQ direct debit payments.
Changes to take effect –
16 May 2019 your union fee direct debit will be processed as normal.
30 May 2019 will now be processed on 6th June 2019 and will have an increased amount of one week’s extra union fees to replace the previous week not being processed.
13th June 2019 will now be processed on 20th June 2019 and will also have an increased amount of one week’s extra union fees to replace the previous week not being processed.
From the 4th July all direct debits will be processed as normal.
A new updated shift calendar is currently being printed and will be sent to member’s home addresses closer to the date change. So, if you have not updated your home address with the UFUQ, now is the time to do it, as the calendar will be delivered along with some new UFUQ merchandise to all members for whom we have a postal / home address.
