ca19 UPDATE 5 - communication officers

24 JUNE 2019

Your union is still waiting on QFES to provide the detailed costings for our claims and also information to support their claims, so the going has been slow, however it appears we may finally be in a position to receive some costings later in the week of 24-28 June 2019.

Whilst your union always works out estimated costings for our claims, without the access to internal employment data (we can only see our membership data), we cannot be accurate and rely on QFES to provide the specific numbers on our claims, and theirs.

There has been some positive movement by QFES to agree to the doctrine content your union is seeking, but again, the going is slow.

Regular half and full day negotiation sessions have been booked right through July, so I expect we will get into the meat of discussing individual claims very soon, and the call is coming for your assistance as soon as the costings are in and we know what we are dealing with.

Whilst we wait another week for costings to be provided, some good work is also occurring on identifying opportunities to tidy up wording in the award.

I will provide a further update to you as soon as the costings have been provided.
