WHY DOES THE PSBA STILL EXIST?!

The Public Service Business Agency (PSBA) was a dud from day one, based on a thought bubble in the now completely discredited Keelty Report.  It’s still a dud. It was a bad idea and it’s driven bad outcomes in areas like uniforms, procurement, fleet, maintenance and workshops and more.

Firefighters don’t want the PSBA to exist and neither do police, rural brigades or the SES.

So why does it still exist?

The answer is there are always empire builders, and the PSBA has blown out to be a bloated empire, overgrown, overblown, and it’s time it was overthrown.

We need more firefighters, more fire trucks and fire stations. It’s time this current government stopped throwing good money after bad and killed the PSBA off.

The real question is no longer why the PSBA still exits, it’s how long until the PSBA is killed off?
