v36#4 UPDATE ON CONSULTATION PROCESSES REGARDING COMMISSIONER’S CONSIDERATION OF A COVID-19 VACCINATION MANDATE
In this edition - As advised on 24 January 2022, the UFUQ state office reached out to QFES shortly after Commissioner Leach emailed all staff to advise that he is considering the possibility of introducing a covid-19 vaccination mandate to confirm no decision has yet been made on the matter and to make arrangements for consultation processes with UFUQ SCM representatives.

In this edition - In CA19, your union successfully negotiated an external assessment of the live fire training work to determine if they ought to receive an allowance. I am pleased to report that the independent assessment did indeed determine those working at live fire were deserving of additional remuneration. Discussions between QFRS and your union continue to ensure that the allowances recommended for the live fire trainer work are paid as soon as possible.

In this edition - It would not be the Christmas and New Year period without some confusion regarding what members are entitled to claim on the many public holidays across the period.
