UPDATE: Minister for Fire and Emergency Services reconfirms that there will be no communications centre closures
In the Code 2 sent out on the 7th July 2016, I quoted the Ministers Statement regarding the GWN to all members.
A number of members were concerned that the Minister did not mention that there will be no closures of communication centres.
Your union sought the Ministers clarification on the issue.
The Minister has reconfirmed to me that no centres whatsoever have been earmarked for closure.

In this edition - As reported in Code 2’s v36#7 and v36#9, QFES senior executives (mostly acting up in their roles at the time) failed to appropriately apply the merit principle in deciding to appoint a public servant as a regional Assistant Commissioner and then attempted to tell your union we couldn’t dispute their mistake.v36#9 QFES IN A PANIC – TRYING TO CONTROL WHAT UFUQ CAN AND CANNOT DISPUTE!
