CA Updates : CA22 Update 8 - BARGAINING RAMPS UP TO DAILY MEETINGS

In this edition - As is always the case with enterprise bargaining, things move slowly, and time begins to run out. The ‘in principle agreement’ deadline (required to ensure backpay of the new wage rates as eventually agreed to 1 July 2022) is 31 October. This means both your union (and other unions) and QFES are keeping one eye on the clock as discussions intensify.

In this edition - On September 11 2001, after coordinated terrorist attacks on United States soil, the twin towers of the World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan collapsed. As a result, more than 2500 people were killed and many thousands more were injured, including 343 fallen comrades from the New York City Fire Department who put themselves in harm’s way to protect the lives of those victims.

CA Updates : CA22 Update 6 AUTHORITY TO BARGAIN (FINALLY) PROVIDED TO QFES

In this edition - After everyone waiting (for far too long) on the Queensland government to act, QFES has finally been provided with formal authority and approval to commence bargaining for CA22.
