In this edition - I wanted to take the opportunity to build on the good news from the Code 2 (V35/#16) dated 11 June 2021 outlining the new pay points many of you will immediately be eligible for, or will soon be eligible for, from 1 July 2021.

v35#16 NEW PAY POINTS FROM 1 JULY 2021

In this edition - From 1 July 2021, in accordance with Schedule 1 of CA19, members will be entitled to these new pay points (with the exception of the rank of Firefighter as their new pay point [PP2] commenced on 1 July 2020).

In this edition - In June and July, your state office will be visiting a range of representative work locations across all seven regions to seek member input on Safe Crewing Task Force (SCTF) matters, including what safe and full crewing means at your specific work location, what solutions you can identify, and any other information about the issues that restrict safe and full crewing.

In this edition - On 12 May 2021, I reported to members that the Queensland Parliament passed amendments to Queensland’s workers’ compensation laws to include presumptive legislation for PTSI for Firefighters and Fire Communications Officers.
